Agnese Galiotto
(Chiampo, 1996) is painter and filmmaker. She graduated from the Städelschule in Frankfurt and Brera Academy of Fine Arts, Milan.
Her practice combines the ancient fresco technique and cinema: both media are tools for her to investigate on narratives and develop immersive installations, while her research revolves around the relationship between human identity and the natural world.
Since 2020, she has participated in the Dolomiti Contemporanee (IT) residency programme and has recently participated in the Jeju Biennal in South Korea following her artistic residency at Gapado AiR.
Her work has been exhibited at Frankfurter Kunstverein (DE), Kunsthal Gent (BE), BFI SouthBank (UK), Palmengarten Frankfurt (DE). She has presented videos at various European film festivals and her frescos are exhibited in public collections and abandoned buildings.
